Jim Woodrum

Director, Mid-Management Development

Jim Woodrum is the program director for Mid-Management Development within the Executive Education department of the School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this role, he oversees the design and delivery of courses within the Mid-Management Development certificate program and also teaches courses on leadership, business acumen, strategy and talent management. In addition, Jim teaches in the university’s MBA program.

 

Prior to joining the university, Jim spent more than 20 years with Hewitt Associates, an international human resources consulting and outsourcing firm. During his career at Hewitt, Jim was a frequent speaker for the firm, and he consulted with senior management and boards on human resources matters primarily focused on executive compensation. He also spent several years as a leader of Hewitt’s corporate development function, working on strategy development for Hewitt with a particular focus on buy/build/partner strategies to aid in achieving the company’s growth objectives.

 

Jim has a B.S. in Finance from Millikin University as well as an M.M. in Finance and Industrial Relations from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
